Callao is a city located in Peru, South America.
Founded around the 1500. Named Constitutional Province of Callao in 1857 and in the year 2002 it became an independent region as part of the descentralization process in Peru. Callao counts with five (5) more districts and (3) islands. Callao because of its location is the main port of entry to Peru, having the most important seaport known as El Terminal Maritimo and airport known as Aeropuerto Internacional Jorge Chavez. Because of its location Callao has always defended the sovereignty of Peru in several wars ever since the 1500, that is also why people from Callao have always been know for their courage and abilities to understand other people quickly.
